Property prices for rent in Northern Cape region
The average rent price in the Northern Cape region has had an strong rise in recent months. There has been a strong rise in the rent prices in this region.
The price per m² in Northern Cape has risen considerably in the last 6 months. During November, the average price per m² was R 171,37. In December the price barely changed remaining at R 169,83 per m². In the following two months (January, February) the rent price per m² has increased notably to a 123 %. In the last two months, the price per m² has risen 109 %. This has been obtained by comparing the price R 190,26 for the first four months of the sample with regard to the previous 4 months and the price R 207,43 per m² for the last two months (March, April).
When referring to the price in Northern Cape(region), there have hardly been any changes in the last 6 months. In the first month sample November the average price is R 19 845. In December the price remains at R 20 085. In the following two months the average price practically remained the same compared to the previous two going from R 19 965 to R 20 706,5. During the last two months the average price has not gone through any changes and has gone from R 20 335,75 to R 19 979 during March and April.
The graph displaying the the average rent price per number of bedrooms shows that those with 1 bedroom are the most affordable ones. They are 67 % cheaper than the average price in Northern Cape followed by those with 2 with an average price of R 8 377. The most expensive properties have 4 bedrooms. They are 39 % more expensive than the average followed by those properties with 3 bedrooms priced at R 13 667.
Based on the average price per m² those properties with 4 bedrooms are the most affordable ones with a price of R 76,25 / m² being R 221,19 / m² the average for Northern Cape. The properties with the lowest average price are those with 1 bedroom. These are 46 % more affordable than the average followed by those with 2 bedrooms with a price of R 101,73 / m².
The graph displaying the average rent price according to the property type shows "Flat" as the most affordable one. With an average cost of R 20 622 it is 57 % cheaper than the average in Northern Cape. This is followed by "Townhouse" with a cost of R 10 427. The most expensive property type is "Apartment" and is 30 % more costly than the average, followed by "House" with a cost of R 17 936.
Based upon the average cost per m² the most affordable property type is "Commercial with a an average price of R 46 / m², followed by "Townhouse" with a price of R 69 / m². "Apartment" with an average price of R 554,56 / m² is the most expensive type of property followed by "Flat" at a price of R 249 / m².
