Property prices for rent in Western Cape region
The average rent price in the Western Cape region has remained at pretty much the same value in recent months. Rent prices in this region have remained pretty much the same.
The price per m² in Western Cape has barely changed in the last 6 months. During October, the average price per m² was R 153,15. In November the price barely changed remaining at R 160,12 per m². The price per m² for the following two months barely changed going from R 156,63 to R 149,09 per m². In the last two months, the price has barely changed with regard to the average value for the last 4 months going from an average price per m² of R 152,86 to R 149,32 during February and March.
When referring to the price in Western Cape(region), this has risen in the last 6 months. October has an average price of R 13 763. During Novemberthe price had a slight fall till R 12 977. The average price for the following two months (December, January) rose from R 13 370 to R 14 522,5. During the last two months the price has had a considerable rise of 130 % with respect to the previous four months going from R 13 946,25 a R 18 128,5.

They are 44 % cheaper than the average price in Western Cape followed by those with 2 with an average price of R 12 645. The most expensive properties have 4 bedrooms. They are 114 % more expensive than the average followed by those properties with 3 bedrooms priced at R 19 591.
Based on the average price per m² those properties with 4 bedrooms are the most affordable ones with a price of R 116,88 / m² being R 147 / m² the average for Western Cape. The properties with the highest average price are those with 1 bedroom. These are 37 % more expensive than the average followed by those with 2 bedrooms with a price of R 165,66 / m².
The graph displaying the average rent price according to the property type shows "Commercial" as the most affordable one. With an average cost of R 17 133 it is 35 % cheaper than the average in Western Cape. This is followed by "House" with a cost of R 12 683. The most expensive property type is "Townhouse" and is 343 % more costly than the average, followed by "Farm" with a cost of R 30 365.
Based upon the average cost per m² the most affordable property type is "Townhouse with a an average price of R 90,49 / m², followed by "Apartment" with a price of R 119,14 / m². "House" with an average price of R 190,53 / m² is the most expensive type of property followed by "Commercial" at a price of R 171,39 / m².
