The rent prices in real estate in Bedford, in the Eastern Cape region have fallen considerably in the last couple of months. There has been a strong fall in the rent prices in this city.
The price per m² in Bedford has had a strong fall during the last 6 months. In November, the average price per m² was R 151,24. In December this price barely changed remaining at R 153,82 per m². In the following two months the price per m² has practically remained the same, going from R 152,53 to R 151,82 per m². The price per m² has had a considerable fall of 50 % in the last two months compared to the average price for the previous four months. This was obtained by comparing the first four months of the period going from a price per m² of R 152,18 to R 75,62 during March, and April.
When referring to the price in Bedford (cities & towns), this has fallen considerably in the last 6 months. In our first sample month during November, the average price is R 17 000. In December This price remains at R 16 900. In the following two months the average price has hardly changed with regard to the previous two months from R 16 950 to R 16 972. During the last two months the average price has fallen greatly compared to the previous four going from R 16 961 to R 8 500, which means a 50 % fall.
